As mentioned in the article, if you want experimental/new features of the language, you’re bound to compile. But for the main part ES6 is quite sufficient. It’s a trade-off of course. You don’t get the latest features, but you skip all the hassles of transpiling. One needs to choose a workflow that works for them.

Besides, who said you need to transpile to get asyncawait ? You can have them now!
