Very good insight written in an approachable manner. I can testify that this is indeed how we worked in my team.

I have one relevant thing to add. One of the things I absolutely HATE someone say (usually tech leads, managers, PMs, etc.) starts like this: "If I were you I would..." or "I would do it like...". The person automatically assumes that they are my role model or mentor or something. Not cool.
